今回は早朝の東京 丸の内です。この日は土曜日だったこともあったかと思いますが、人がほとんどいなくて完全に静かな丸の内でした。丸の内は、銀座や表参道とも違いってもっと落ち着いた大人の街ですね。再開発で生まれ変わったビルと、従来から残るビルがいい感じで並んでコントラストを産んでいて、古いビルも別に古いように見えているのではなく、丸の内という街をちゃんと彩る役目を果たしているように見えます。また、東京という場所、それも東京駅のそばでありながら、道路や歩道は広めにゆったりととってあるところが好きです。これくらいの広さはほしいですね。広いことで、緑も道路脇には並び、決して十分とは言えないと思いますが、それでも緑があることで街が硬くなりすぎないように見えていると思います。大事ですね、緑。

This time it was Marunouchi, Tokyo in the early morning photos. It may have been a Saturday, but Marunouchi was completely quiet, with hardly a soul in sight. Unlike Ginza and Omotesando, Marunouchi is a more relaxed and mature area. The buildings that have been reborn through redevelopment contrast nicely with those that have remained standing, and even the older buildings do not look old, but rather serve their purpose of adding color to the Marunouchi area. I also like that the streets and sidewalks are wide and spacious for a place called Tokyo, even though it is located near Tokyo Station. I would like to see this level of spaciousness. The wide space also means that greenery lines the sides of the streets, and although I don’t think it is sufficient, I still think that the greenery makes the city look not too hard.
