X-PRO3がディスコンになったらしい。そして、X100Vは部材供給の問題で注文停止中。X-E4は、やはりディスコンになっている。
富士フイルムのレンジファインダースタイルのカメラが苦境に立たされている。富士フイルム的には戦略あっての事だと願いたいが、ユーザ側から見ると、ラインナップにいるのに買えない、ラインナップにないという事は、終わりを意味する様に見えてしまう。

I heard that X-PRO3 has been discontinued. And the X100V is on order suspension due to component supply problems.The X-E4 is also discontinued.
Fujifilm’s rangefinder style cameras looks like in a difficult situation. I hope that Fujifilm has a strategy, but from the user’s point of view, not being able to buy a camera even though it is in the lineup or not being in the lineup seems to be end.

もちろん、そんな事はないと思いたい。そうであって欲しいと強く願いたい。ミラーレスだから実際は違うけど、一眼スタイルのペンタプリズムが内蔵されているかと思わせる様なデザインのX-T5、動画が中心ではあるがやはり同じ様なスタイリングになっているX-H2/H2S。売れる商材に力を入れるのは、メーカーの理屈で言えば正しい。特に今のデジタルカメラ市場を見ると、ノスタルジー的思いだけではやってけるほどマーケットに余裕がない事はわかっている。明らかにスマートフォンにやられているのだから。だけど、スマートフォンが、概ね個性を競うのが難しい程、似通った形になっているだけに(みんなiPhoneを真似る)、やはり「カメラ」には、所有する道具としての喜びも含めて個性があって欲しいと思う。その個性の中に更に使う人の喜びが混じり合うのではないだろうか。

Of course, I would like to think that this is not true. I strongly hope so. The X-T5 has a design that makes you think it has a built-in SLR-style pentaprism  (I know, it is a mirrorless camera, but), and the X-H2/H2S, which has similar styling, although it is mainly used for video. Especially in the current digital camera market, they know that there is not enough room in the digital camera market for nostalgia alone. It is clear that the market is being beaten by smartphones. However, since smartphones have become so similar in shape that it is difficult to compete for individuality (everyone is copying the iPhone, but they aren’t reach to iPhone quolity.), I would like “cameras” to have individuality, including the pleasure of being a tool to be owned. I think that the joy of the user will be further mixed in with the individuality of the camera.

X-T5、X-H2/H2Sが採用しているエンジンは、X-Prosessor 5と世代が進んでいる。なので今更全世代のX-Processor 4を積んだカメラを売りにくいという事情なのかもしれない。もしかしたら、X-Processor 5を搭載した新しいX-Pro, X100,  X-Eが準備中なだけかもしれない。そうなんだと思いたい。

ただ、最初に書いたようにユーザには見えない話なので、見えているものの中から我々は見るしかない。そう考えると、今の富士フイルムの人気を作り支えて来たカメラ群が、少し寂しい扱いになっているように見えるのは寂しい。

The engines used in the X-T5 and X-H2/H2S are from the same generation as the X-Processor 5. Therefore, it may be that it is difficult to sell a camera with X-Processor 4 of a previous generation now. Maybe there is just a new X-Pro, X100, or X-E with X-Processor 5 in the pipeline. I would like to think so.

But as I wrote at the beginning, the user cannot see the story, so we can only see it from what we can see. With that in mind, it is sad that the camera group that has created and supported Fujifilm’s current popularity seems to be treated a little sadly.

何か事情があるだけだと願いたいし、アナウンスが何かあって欲しい。XQ3が出ないまま、ひっそりとXQラインナップが終わったような事だけにはならないで欲しい。何よりも、次を待っている人達が多いカメラであり、その個性を富士フイルムは大事にしてくれていると信じている人が多いだけにである。

I hope that it is just circumstances, and that there will be some kind of announcement. I don’t want it to be just like the XQ lineup quietly ended without the XQ3. Above all, there are many people who are waiting for the next rangefinder style camera, and I believe that Fujifilm is taking good care of there camera individuality.
