I went to Asakusa Sensoji Temple not on 1/1 to 1/3 but on January 8 to pay my New Year’s visit. It has been a long time since I visited Sensoji Temple in new year. There were many people and the Nakamise-dori was crowded, and I felt the whole Asakusa area was lively. I bought takoyaki (octopus dumplings), grilled sweetfish, etc., and enjoyed walking them with eating.
I was so busy with work at the end of the year that I was not able to wrap up 2022 properly. The main topic of 2022 was the re-starting of my blogging activities, which had been stagnant. I made a number of changes in conjunction with these changes. – Change of blog title – Start English articles – Change of design All of the changes were made in conjunction with these changes. In addition – Starting Buy me a coffee program We have also started a new campaign, “Buy me a Coffee”. This is one of the donation services, and we would be happy if you could support our blog. We hope to continue to write articles that will leave a little something for everyone who reads them.
As we started to post more articles, the number of accesses, which had been at rock bottom, started to increase little by little (although the number of accesses is still low). Thankfully, the number of opportunities to receive “likes” has increased tremendously. Thank you very much.
SD cards are a familiar storage device for digital cameras, and I buy the ones with good specs at the time for around 2,000 yen. SD cards have a speed to write and read data, and the faster this speed is, the faster the camera will be able to record the photo if it was taken, or display the contents on the monitor faster if you want to see them. In particular, the faster the writing is done, the less time the camera has to wait after pressing the shutter release button because it means it is ready for the next shot. This increases the response time of the shot, so you don’t miss the next shot that comes along after you press the shutter (not exactly the same thing as high-speed continuous shooting). However, speed is proportional to price, so it is important to balance speed and price with your wallet. It is also important not to make the mistake of choosing an expensive SD card just because it is fast, but that does not mean it will be dramatically faster. Because of this, I try to look for SD cards around 2,000 yen, and I decided it was about time for a new SD card, so I went to Akihabara to look for one.
The other day I went to Okinawa for two nights and three days. I flew there by airplane, and although it is commonplace nowadays to use Wi-Fi service on airplanes, the Skymark airlines airplane I flew on this time did not have Wi-Fi service. I felt as if I might be left out of what is happening in the world, but what is not there is not there, so I had to give up contact with the outside world for the three-hour flight from Haneda to Naha (two hours on the way back). So, how will I spend my time on the plane? Skymark does not offer in-flight entertainment. Do you download movies to your iPhone or iPad and watch them? Play games the whole time? In any case, there is no idea of escaping from digital devices, is there?
The other day, I went shopping by bicycle from my home to Akihabara. On the way there and on the way back, I went around the Kuramae neighborhood, which is one of the trendy places nowadays, and I saw many new fashionable stores. I was surprised to see so many stores in such a place. I would like to take my time and visit more places next time.
BLUE BOTTLE COFFEEについては、今更語る必要も無いと思いますが、カリフォルニア・オークランド発のサードウェーブコーヒーの代表ですね。
Everyone has their own image of what they look for in a café, and different brands have different images, but I visited BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE Kandamanseibashi at mAAch ecute Mansebashi, a renovated version of the old Mansebashi station between Akihabara and Kanda.
I don’t think I need to talk about BLUE BOTTLE COFFEE now, but it represents third wave coffee from Oakland, California.
