Appleが単三電池の充電器とニッケル・水素充電池を発売してたのを覚えているでしょうか。初代Magic Mouse / Magic Keyboardが単三電池による動作をしていたことで2010年7月発売されました(現在は販売終了)。

iPod 3rd generation の電池を再度交換しました。以前にも一度実施しているのですが、再度電池の持ちが悪くなったので交換することにしました。

Apple Smart Folio BlackからApple Smart Folio Whiteにしました。
色々過酷に使いすぎたのか、表面が剥がれて中の型が見えて来ていたので、さすがにみっともないと言うのと日々使う自分のテンション的にも上がらなかっとので、買い換えました。現在発売されているiPad Pro Smart Folio (第3世代) はカメラ部分のサイズが異なりますが、対象機種です。ただ、レンズの部分の形が合わない事が嫌でした。iPad Air(第5世代) Smart Folioは公式には対象外機種ですが、ネットを見ると使用可能という報告を見かけます。
それを候補に更に見てたら自分が使っているiPad Pro 2018と一緒に発売された初代Smart Folioの新品(これ大事)を発見しそれにしました。
I bought a new case for my iPad Pro 11-inch (2018) a while ago.
I went from Smart Folio Black to Smart Folio White.
I used it too much and the surface was peeling off and the inside shape was starting to show, so I replaced it with a new one. The Smart Folio for iPad Pro (3rd generation) currently on the market has a different size camera part, but it is the same model. The Smart Folio for iPad Air (5th generation) is officially not a model for the iPad Pro (2018), but I found reports on the Internet that it can be used with the iPad Pro.
I looked further in internet shop and found a brand new (this is important) first generation Smart Folio that was released with my iPad Pro 2018 and decided to go for it.

前回は買うまでの長い件だったので今回ちゃんとレビューを。レビューと言っても、大きく何かが変化しているほどでもないので、使用感を中心にお伝えしようと思います。
すでに使用しているiPhone 12 Proとの最大の違いは何よりもサイズです。このサイズが自分の生活にどう馴染むのか？それが気になるところです。
The last review was until I bought it and a long one, so I’m going to give you a proper review this time. I would like to focus on the feeling of using the iPhone 13 mini, since it is not so much that something has changed significantly.
The biggest difference from the iPhone 12 Pro that I already use is above all the size. How will this size fit into my life? That is what I am wondering.
長らく悩んで悩んでいましたが iPhone 13 mini を7月末に迎え入れてました (iPhone 14が目前に迫っているのは知っていてです)。iPhone 12 mini がアナウンスされた時からずっと mini サイズは気になってたのですがどうしても Pro モデルの方に目が行き (カメラ性能的にどうしても…) 、iPhone 12 Pro を選びました。
ただ、やはりiPhone 5 / 5s / SE(初代) のサイズに近い mini モデルはずっと良いなと思って引っ掛かっていました。僕は仕事用とプライベート用で2台持ちなのですが、iPhone 12 Pro と別で iPhone SE (初代) を使っていました。
SEそのものには不満は無かったのですが、使っていたキャリアは、OCN モバイル ONEを使って格安で運用していたのですが、そこに落とし穴がありました。どうも調べてみると「グローバルIPアドレス」を利用した形態となっており、これがバッテリーの消耗を著しく落としていたようです。それに引きずられてどんどん iPhone SEのバッテリー能力も落ち、ちょっと触るとあっという間にバッテリーが減るという問題もあって、まずはキャリア変更を最初に浮かべていました。
I had been thinking long time about how to get the iPhone 13 mini and finally I bout it in the end of July (I know the iPhone 14 is just around the corner.). Since the announcement of the iPhone 12 mini, but my attention was drawn to the Pro model (because of the camera performance…) and I chose the iPhone 12 Pro. ), so I chose the iPhone 12 Pro.
However, I still had my eye on the mini model, which is similar to the size of the iPhone 5 / 5s / SE (the first generation), because I always thought it was better. I have two phones, one for work and one for private use, and I was using the iPhone SE (first generation) separately from the iPhone 12 Pro.
I had no complaints about the SE itself, but the carrier I was using was OCN Mobile ONE, which is a low-cost carrier, but there was a pitfall there. I found out that it was using a “global IP address” and this was draining the battery significantly. This was dragging down the battery capacity of the iPhone SE, and with the problem of the battery draining quickly after a slight touch, the first thing that came to mind was to change carriers.
やってしまいました。飲み物をキーボードにこぼす、少なからずみなさんも経験あるのではないでしょうか。
一般的なWindowsのキーボードだと、キートップ外して、洗ってということが簡単にできますが、僕が使っているのはApple Magic Keyboard (2021)です。
どうしよう・・・買い直しか・・・と頭真っ白になりました。
とりあえず、まずは急ぎ電源落として(ワイヤレスなので)、ティッシュで拭きましたが、キーボードと鉄板の隙間に侵入したであろうことは間違いなしで、テッシュを水で濡らして少し拭き取ってみました。
なんとかキーの感触は大丈夫そうな感じはしたのですが、少し時間経って乾いたからでしょう、明らかにキーの動きが変です。キーの跳ね返りがものすごく悪く、動きが重いです。
とは言えキーを打てば結果は画面に反映されているので、電気的にキーボードがNGになったということではなさそうなので、単純にキーの可動パーツが飲み物によってベタついたような状態になってると判断しました。

With a standard Windows keyboard, you can easily remove the keytops and wash them, but I use the Apple Magic Keyboard (2021).
I was thinking, “What should I do…Ah…is it buy a new one…?
First of all, I hurriedly turned off the power (since it is wireless) and wiped it with a tissue, but there was no doubt that drink must have invaded the gap between the keyboard and the steel plate, so I wet the tissue with water and wiped it a little.
I managed to get the keys to feel OK, but the keys were clearly moving strangely, probably because they had dried after a little time had passed. The keys bounce very poorly and the movement is heavy.
However, when I hit a key, the result is reflected on the screen, so it does not seem that the keyboard has become electrically NG, so I decided that the moving parts of the keys are simply sticky from the drink.

iPhone 7から日本でもSUICAを使えるようになりましたが、iPhone 7、X共に一つ厄介な問題がありました。それは、iPhone本体の電池が切れるとSUICAが使えなくなるという事です。電車乗っている最中にiPhoneの電池が切れたら…なんて悩みがありましたが、iPhone Xs以降の機種では、予備電力機能が付いたエクスプレスカードとして設定出来るようになりました。
これは、iPhone本体の電池が切れても、Appleのサポートサイト曰く “iPhone の充電が必要な状態になっても最大 5 時間まで” は予備電力によりエクスプレスカードに設定したSUICA(もしくはPASMO)が使えるようです。
先日までiPhone Xがメイン機だったのでこの機能を享受する事は出来ませんでしたが、先日iPhone 12 Proにしたので、早速電池が切れたiPhone 12 Proで、予備電力を期待してコンビニでSUICAで支払ったところ、無事お会計出来ました。
上記写真にあるように電池が切れても、メッセージが表示されるので、その期間は使えるようです。
サポートの記述には最大5時間となっていますが、今回僕は電池が切れてから約4時間後でも使えました。一般的には、電車に乗っていて電池が切れても充分予備電力がある状態と言えるという事ですね。
余談：不思議なことに英語によるAppleの “Apple Pay でエクスプレスカードを使う” ページでは、5時間という表記がありません。

今回はコンビニの支払いで確認取れたので、電車に限らずこの予備電力機能はSUICA(PASMO)での支払いにこだわりたい場合はかなり有用だなと実感しました。
