X100Vに新しい目をもたらすTCL-X100II
レンズ交換出来ないカメラに、違う画角の絵をもたらせるとしたら、それはカメラそのものポテンシャルを否定する事になるのか、邪道なのか、素直にレンズ交換式カメラを買えという事なのか。
If a camera that does not have interchangeable lenses can provide a picture with a different angle of view, does that negate the potential of the camera itself, is it a bad idea, or does it mean that we should honestly buy a camera with interchangeable lenses?
FUJIFILM X100シリーズはレンズ固定式のカメラであり、他のXシリーズの様にレンズ交換出来ないところが大きく異なる点。
固定の換算35mmレンズが搭載されているのがX100シリーズとなっている。
このX100に、50mmの画角をもたらしてくれるのが、X100にアタッチメントするレンズ、テレコンバージョンレンズ TCL-X100IIである。
そのTCL-X100IIを昨年秋に購入。
35mmの画角は僕的にも丁度良く気持ちいいが、時折もうちょっと寄りたいという時があった。
ザクっと絵を切り取るのは35mmだが、もうちょっと主役を見据えて撮りたいとなったら、被写体に自分が寄るか、レンズを変えるか。
時々、もうちょっと寄れる絵が撮れるレンズが欲しいなと感じていた。
ただ、X100Vというカメラが好きなので、X100Vをシステムの中心にして出来ることは何か？と思った時に出てきたのが、シンプルにテレコンバージョンレンズ TCL-X100IIだった。
正直買うまで色々な葛藤があった。X100シリーズのポテンシャルを否定する事になるのでは？と思っていた。最終的にこのTCL-X100IIは、メーカーである富士フイルムがX100シリーズ向けに出しているので、テレコンバージョンレンズを使う事自体はメーカー的にはカメラの設計の許容内という事だろうと思った。
The FUJIFILM X100 series is a fixed lens camera, and the major difference is that the lens is not interchangeable like other X series cameras.
The X100 series is equipped with a fixed 35mm lens.
The TCL-X100II tele conversion lens, which attaches to the X100, provides a 50mm angle of view to the X100.
I purchased the TCL-X100II last fall.
The 35mm angle of view was just right for me, but there were times when I wanted to get a little closer.
I use 35mm to capture a rough picture, but when I want to take a picture with the main subject in focus, I have to either move closer to the subject or change lenses.
Sometimes I felt that I wanted a lens that would allow me to get a little closer to the subject.
However, I like the X100V camera, so I wondered what I could do with the X100V at the center of my system. When I thought about it, what came up was simply the TCL-X100II tele conversion lens.
To be honest, I had many conflicting feelings before I bought it, thinking that it would negate the potential of the X100 series. In the end, I thought that since the TCL-X100II was designed for the X100 series by the manufacturer, Fujifilm, using a tele conversion lens was within the acceptable design of the camera from their point of view.

レンズは、フィルターリングの部分に取り付ける形になる。レンズ交換式より少し付けるのは手間だと感じる時もあるが、正直そこまで気にするレベルではない。
どちらかと言えば重さが180gあるため、X100Vに取り付けると重心の位置が変わる。
アンバランスな感じになるというレビューも見かけるが、X100Vに付ける分にはそこまで見た目のアンバランス差を個人的には感じない。
レンズ交換式のレンズとは違うため、レンズがスッキリした作りになっている。
ガラス面が大きいので、結構レンズが主張した形になっている。
テレコンバージョンレンズをつけてもX100Vの特徴であるF2.0は変わらずに使える事もテレコンバージョンレンズを使おうと思った理由の一つ。
さて、実際使ってみるとスペックでは感じれない、画角の違いが思いっきりぶつかってきた。35mmに慣れすぎて、最初全然馴染めなかった。特にOVFで見ることに慣れてたので、OVFで見ると、フレームが小さく表示されるため、なかなか意識がフレームの中に収めるという形にならず、ついフレーム外の部分にまで、入れたい絵があって、撮った写真を見るとなんか違うということが何度もあった。
ファインダー内のフレームが50mmになると被写体に寄っているため小さくなるということはファインダー内で見えてる絵が実質広くなるため、それにより視覚的に自分が騙されるのをやめようと思い、OVFからEVFに変えた所、覗いてる絵と撮った写真のイメージが一致し始めた。
後はもう慣れの問題としか言いようがない。なかなか50mmでの距離感が掴めず、広めの絵を撮ろうとしては撮れなかったり、逆に寄りすぎて距離を取り直したりという事が何度もあったが、これが画角が変わる事だなと実感し、試行錯誤を続けているが、少し慣れて来たとも感じている。
The lens is attached to the filter ring. Although I sometimes feel it is a little more work to attach the lens than with interchangeable lenses, but it is not to the point where I am concerned about it.
If anything, since the lens weighs 180g, the center of gravity changes when it is attached to X100V.
Some reviewers say that it makes the lens look unbalanced, but I personally do not feel that much difference in the appearance of the lens when attached to X100V.
The lens is different from a lens with interchangeable lenses, so the lens is made in a clean and simple way.
Since the glass surface is large, the lens is quite assertive.
One of the reasons why I decided to use the tele conversion lens is that X100V’s characteristic F2.0 remains unchanged even when a tele conversion lens is attached.
I was so accustomed to 35mm that I could not get used to it at all at first. I was so used to using the OVF that when I used the OVF, the frame was displayed so small that it was difficult for me to keep the image within the frame, and many times I found myself wanting to put the image outside of the frame, but when I looked at the picture I took, it didn’t look quite right.
When I switched from OVF to EVF, the image I saw in the viewfinder and the picture I took started to match.
The rest is just a matter of getting used to it. There were many times when I couldn’t get a sense of distance with the 50mm lens, and when I tried to take a wider picture, I couldn’t do it, or conversely, I came too close and had to re-compose the distance.
I felt it was necessary more than anything else to be able to flexibly change my eyes and awareness between 35mm and 50mm.
目と意識を35mm、50mmで柔軟に変えれる様になる事が何よりも必要と感じた。
実際は、頻繁に35mmと50mmを付け替える事はしてない。今日は50mmと思えばつけっぱなし、35mmと思えば従来のままにしている。
いずれにしてもX100の本質であるレンズ固定式を尊重する使い方にしている。
ちょっと邪道かもしれないけど、50mmのレンズ固定式カメラというカメラを手に入れることができた。
In fact, I don’t frequently switch between 35mm and 50mm. Today, I leave the 50mm lens on when I feel like it, and leave the 35mm lens on when I feel like it.
In any case, I use the camera in a way that respects the fixed lens, which is the essence of X100.
It may be a bit of a crazy idea, but I was able to acquire a camera with a fixed 50mm lens.
