I went to photograph Shinbashi the other night. The number of infected people continues to be high, so I wondered if there weren’t a lot of people in the izakaya(Japanese-style pub), while not entirely absent, it did not feel like there were a lot of people in the bars.
On the other hand, what was strange was that there were many touts to “girls’ bars” (Bar where young women will serve you drinks and just talk acrosss the counter) . I didn’t know there were so many of them in Shinbashi. I had never seen so many girls’ bar touts in Shinbashi. I guess the fact that some of the previous bars had closed down had something to do with it.
I felt a little disappointed to see that the salaryman’s town Shimbashi has changed a little.

It looks like Thailand in this frame, but this is also Shimbashi.
There were people in town, but they appeared to be more likely to be going home than going to the Izakaya.
